The Office of Human Resources Management provides professional and technical service to the Ohio Department of Public Safety staff and the general public in the core areas of: employee benefits, compensation, labor relations, equal employment opportunity, employee development and training.

Thank you for your interest in employment opportunities with the Ohio Department of Public Safety. Employment opportunities are posted on a weekly basis. Applications are accepted for posted positions only. Applications received outside of the posting period will not receive consideration.

Employment opportunities are posted for non-exempt and exempt positions. Consideration for applicants for non-exempt positions is first given in accordance with the applicable bargaining unit agreement contract and then a certification eligibility list (civil service examination) if applicable. If the position is not filled in accordance with a bargaining unit agreement or certification eligibility list, external applicants will be screened, and applicants selected for interviews will be contacted. Applications for exempt positions will be screened and applicants selected for interviews will be contacted.
