dedicated to assisting recently returned veterans with adjustment with returning to work, career sustainment and development through mentoring and networking with fellow DPS employees.

Trooper Larry Bowman is a graduate of the 136th academy class, currently serving with District Six Criminal Patrol and Investigations. He is a Master Sergeant and combat veteran with over 24 years of service as an active duty and reservist Marine. He served on active duty from 1988 until the year 2000. After Sept 11 he reenlisted into the Marine Corps Reserve and was activated in 2004 serving on active duty until 2007. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Tpr. Jeffrey Collins (Ret) [+]

Trooper (Retired) Jeffrey Collins graduated from the 125th academy class, assigned to the Delaware Patrol Post, currently working as a clerk for the Employee Relations Unit in Columbus. While investigating a vehicle crash, he was struck by another vehicle causing a traumatic brain injury. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was forced into disability retirement in 1999. Prior to the Patrol, he served in the OHARNG 127th (AVM) from 1988 to 1994 at the Rickenbacker AFB. He has dedicated his life to serving and protecting those who serve and protect others.

Tpr. Paul Isgett has been in law enforcement for over 20 years and with the Highway Patrol since 1999, graduating with the 133rd class. Paul is currently assigned to General Headquarters – OIS. Paul has been assigned to Chillicothe, Portsmouth, Ironton and Jackson Posts. Paul is a 16 year veteran of the Navy Reserve and has been assigned to Naval Special Operations for the entirety of his career. He currently holds the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Paul is a veteran of both Operation Iraqi Freedom 2005-2006 and most recently Operation Enduring Freedom, 2011.

Trooper Samuel Hendricks is a graduate of the 135th academy class, currently serving at the Granville Post in District Six. Trooper Hendricks is a Sergeant First Class/Platoon Sergeant and a combat veteran with over 21 years of service while serving as an Army Reservist. He served on active duty from 1990-1991 during Desert Shield/Storm, 2004-2005 Operation Iraqi Freedom and 2009-2010 for Operation Enduring Freedom. During Trooper Hendricks combat deployments, he spent twelve months in the Sunni Triangle of Iraq and was based out of Camp Anaconda while escorting convoys to Al Asad Airbase, Camp Ramadi and Al Taqaddum Airbase. In 2009 Trooper Hendricks was deployed as an individual augmentee to Afghanistan where he served at Bagram Airfield and was responsible for transportation of Theater Provided Equipment for regional command east and north of the Combined Joint Operations Area.

Agent Tony Storey has been employed by the Ohio Investigative Unit since 2000. He is a combat Marine with 21 years of service. He served on active duty from 1989-1993, and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and in December 1992, was in the first wave to go ashore in Somalia during Operation Restore Hope, He served 17 years as a Marine Reservist, and was recalled to active duty twice, in 2002, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and in 2007, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
